Freedom

You are free to make mistakes.  You are free to ask for forgiveness.  You are free to choose to invite the God who made the universe to be a part of your life.  You are free to live for Him! 

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV)

Stop Fighting

Sometimes when you feel alone, surrounded by the enemy, and in the middle of the battlefield, it's time to stop fighting.  Let God fight this battle for you. Be still.  Stay calm.  Rest in Him.  Let God tell you when it's time to rest and when it's time to fight.

“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm."  -Exodus 14:14

Communication

Communication brings clarity and peace.  Don't speculate what the other person is thinking, but rather talk to them directly and quickly.  You both will feel much better. 

“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, (Ephesians 4:26 NKJV)

God Rescues

God rescues. What do you need rescuing from today? A situation? A relationship? Yourself? Let Him rescue you.

He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:2-3 ESV)

Follow the Peace

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, and peace. Satan can't produce peace, only the Spirit can.  So, follow the peace, for where there is peace, there is God. 

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit."  --Galatians 5:22-23, 25 ESV

Sharpen

You become a product of who you choose to be around and spend time with.  Surround yourself with people who sharpen you. It makes all the difference in the world.  

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17 ESV)

Endurance

Life is a marathon. We're not in it for the sprint. Some miles are easier than others, but the finish line is worth it!

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4 ESV)

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:3-6 ESV)
